Social Effects of Climate Change on Indigenous Peoples

Climate change is having an impact on the environmental conditions throughout the world and Canada. The effects of climate change can be seen in all aspects of Indigenous peoples lives including physical (infrastructure) aspects, cultural activities and Traditional Knowledge bases, and social effects such as health and safety.

The social impacts of climate change are becoming more apparent as the understanding of climate change increases. Climate change will have an effect on the traditional diet and on the health and safety of individual people.
